Merritt Island is located between the Indian River and Banana River lagoons. Our land for sale is located on Pine Island in North Merritt Island, just south of the Kennedy Space Center and NASA. Of particular interest is the fact that we are on a street with newer executive style homes. The last sale on this street was $475,000 a few months ago.

Our North Merritt Island land for sale is a 5 minute bike ride to the Pine Island Conservation area located on huge lakes that feed into the Indian River. Great fishing directly from the shore or canoe/kayak. Hiking trails, bird watching and wildlife abound in the Pine Island Conservation Area. Not to mention a small lake behind the lot, and another larger lake a stone's throw away. Plus, our North Merritt Island land is only a 10 minute drive to the Banana River recreation area and another 10 minutes to Cocoa Beach where great fun can be had for the whole family.

If you've looked at land in North Merritt Island, you already know almost every parcel includes a wetland of some type. A word of caution, don't buy any land in North Merritt Island until you have a Wetalnd Evaluation completed by an environmantal engineer on Brevard County's list of approved and trusted engineers. Don't allow someone to look at a soil map of Merritt Island Land and call it a wetland evaluation, you might be in for a big surprise when you try to build on that land. Spend the money or have the seller spend the money for a competent evaluation. In most cases Wetlands can't be touched by machinery or have the elevation altered. We have completed the wetland evaluation and as you would expect, there is a low-grade wetland at the back of the property. This wetland is mapped and is shown on the survey. It leaves plenty of space for an executive style home of 2000+ sq.ft.
